I post on this blog after a long hiatus. It comes on a sad day where here in Austin we buried a fellow defense lawyer at the young age of 36.
I didn't know Kristi Couvillon Wise very well. I can easily recall seeing her in the courthouse on many occasions and may have spoken to her in passing. But whenever the death of anyone in our workplace happens, it lends a bit more perspective to who we are, what we are, and how quickly it could end in a breath.
Rest in Peace.
